AUGH!
I hate homework! Hate it, hate it, hate it! I'm brimming with brilliant dialogue, but do I have time to write it out? No, I have HOMEWORK.
I mean, honestly. I had all A's on my midterm report card, I'm making a 3.86 and I graduate in May. I can stand to slack off a little, right? RIGHT?!
But no, it's homework for my writing class. I have to critique two stories before tomorrow, and it's so frustrating because everyone in my class is so blunt and postmodern. I, in turn, have an embarrassing passion for children's books and am passive aggressive. And I hate postmodernism. A lot.
And after that, I have three tests to study for. And then I'll be free, right?
Well, no. I have a project to finish for Children's Literature. And then I'll be free.
For a while.
You'd think, though, that a girl with a 3.86 GPA who is about to graduate and who is making A's in all of her classes could get her adorable, shy, neurotic butt into gear and finish her homework in time to write later on tonight. And you would be right. But this adorable neurotic butt had to vent first, which gives me only one hour to read two stories and type up critiques before my ever-wonderful husband comes home and makes me jog.
I owe all of this, by the way, to Howl's Moving Castle, which I picked up earlier in order to re-read the ending and ended up re-reading all of the good parts while I watched Judging Amy. (It took me three-and-a-half hours to get to the weed killer scene and I'm going to finish it with breakfast in the morning.) The bad part is that reading stuff always makes me want to write, and I didn't have time to read and I don't have time to write. So I'm just torturing myself. *sigh* But what sweet torture.

A writing log to keep up with how often I'm writing, how many pages, and if I think I'll ever get published.
